 The funeral arrangements for Brian are as follows; Monday 18th August 2008 1.30pm , Enslie S. Collier Funeral Parlour, Broomfield Road, Montrose, DD10 8SY. Thereafter to St Cyrus Cemetery.

12/8/2008 - SCOTTISH AMATEUR EXTRAVAGANZA
 The Amateur Extravaganza scheduled to be held at Balcormo Friday 15th / Sunday 17th August has been CANCELLED due to extremely wet weather,with no suitable venue being available in the East of the Scotland. This show has been replaced with a three day show at Rowallan starting at 5pm on Friday 15th August. The new venue for the Scottish Adult North-East Championship will be announced when a new venue is chosen. 
 
4/8/2008 - A TEAM SUMMARY FROM SCOTTISH HPI
 The Scottish 128cm and 138cm Teams each won a bronze medal and the 148 team narrowly missed a bronze after an exciting timed jump off.

24/7/2008 - SCOTTISH HOME PONY INTERNATIONAL TEAMS
 The Teams to compete at the Scottish home Pony International are to be picked on the evening of Friday, 1st August 2008.  
 
23/7/2008 - JASON SMITH
 Jason Smith was part of the Accenture Junior European Squad who were competing in Prague 16th-20th July. Riding his horse Rival 14 Jason was Team Reserve for the Junior European Team competition. The reserve jumps the Nations Cup competition with the teams. Jason was one of only four double clears in this competition. The other GB rider to secure a double clear was Mathew Sampson, both boys finished the day in joint first position with two other riders.The Team secured gold position and Jason finished in 16th poition overall. Well done Jason on a fantastic performance.

16/7/2008 - LEO LORIMER DOUBLE HOYS SUCCESS
 Congratulations to Leo Lorimer riding Mini Cooper who qualified for both the Junior Newcomers and Junior Foxhunter finals at HOYS in October. Leo gained both qualifying tickets at the recent Port Royal Show. Well done Leo.  
 
16/7/2008 - ALEX BARR GAINS ANOTHER HOYS TICKET.
  Alex Barr continued his run of success with Norman Smith's Tristan M. Alex has qualified for the 1.20m Amateur class, at Champions 2008 he took a Grade C ticket again for HOYS.At Southview last weekend he gained a Newcomers qualifying place.All finals take place at the Horse of The Year Show.Well done Alex.

 Scottish member Nicola Ross Watt was one of two show jumpers who took part in this experiment which will be shown as a documentary starting on July 30th at 9pm on Channel 4

14/7/2008 - SNEC Show 18-20th July
 Andrews Bowen were at SNEC on Wednesday & Thursday of last week working on the surface as part of their ongoing maintenance programme. The Senior BSJA this weekend will be indoors on Friday & Saturday due to the weather forecast. On Sunday, weather permitting, all classes including the warm up class and Regional final will be outdoors.

 Will all Show Secretaries please note that all show dates from 1st April to 30th September should be affiliated with Stoneleigh by FRIDAY 25th JULY 2007. 
 
14/7/2008 - **Team Gold and Individual Silver for Graham**
 Graham Gillespie and Ara put up another fantastic performance to help Britain bring home Team Gold for the second year running at the Children's European Championships in Athens. He jumped two faultless clears and the team finished on a total of 4 faults. A single pole lowered in the individual competition meant he had to jump off against Belgium’s Vicky van de Poel and British Team mate Lauren Edwards to decide the Silver and Bronze medals. Graham produced the fastest clear beating the Belgian by almost a second to take the Silver medal. Well done Graham!!
