11/9/2009 - ATTENTION ALL PONY RIDERS QUALIFIED FOR HOYS
It is planned to have a training session for all Pony / Rider combinations qualified for HOYS 2009. This is to take place at Rowallan on Tuesday 22nd September commencing 7pm. Riders qualified will be contacted individually by Scottish Branch.
 
26/8/2009 - Congratulations to Rober Kirk- July BSJA Owner of the Month
Robert Kirk from West Lothian,proud owner of several top class jumping horses including Wexford, a 13 yo bay gelding.Wexford was partnered by Jemma Kirk to win an individual Gold Medal in the recent FEI Young Rider European Jumping Championships in the Netherlands. This prestigious award is designed to give owners recognition for their investment both to their riders and to show jumping as a whole. Very Well done to Robert, Jemma and the family back up team! Other Scottish Owners to have won this coveted award recently include Sandra Lynn Cordiner for Pall Mall H winner of the King George V Cup whilst ridden by Peter Charles.Also Patricia Fraser, long time supporter of Show jumping for Rosinus. Rosinus and Geoff Billington are on the Team of four this weekend to contest the European Team and individual medals. Good Luck.

13/8/2009 - ***SNEC Junior Show 15th and 16th August***
Please note that this show is running this weekend with a slightly revised schedule (available under Dates). A 128 and 138 Pony Open will be run on both days with a 1.20 Pony Open on the Saturday and the Scottish South East Championship on the Sunday.
 
6/8/2009 - Stacey Babes and Alex Barr claim second HOYS Ticket
Having already qualified Carneils Wyacara owned by Carol and Neil Wivell for the HOYS Newcomers final. Alex qualified Major Ted owned by Robert Wilson for the Grade C Final. Alex qualified at Dumfries in third place. Stacey Babes and her lovely 6yo Waldemar took the top place in this competition, this is Staceys' second HOYS ticket as she qualified for the Newcomers at Champions 2009 Well done Stacey and Alex!
 
3/8/2009 - SCOTTISH HPI TEAMS 2009 RESULTS
Congratulations to our Pony Teams and Aileen Craig who had great success at Rowallan last weekend. The 128cm Team had spectacular success to finish on a zero score over both rounds and a 'Gold Medal' to celebrate. Both 138 and 148 Teams finished in Bronze position after some very competitive and exciting jumping. There were 9 Teams taking part in the 10 and under, in a thrilling three way jump off for Bronze Jodie Weir clinched it for Scotland. Well done to all our 10 and under competitors!.
 
3/8/2009 - ANNUAL AWARDS BALL
Will all members please note that the date is now confirmed for the 2009 Awards Ball. Friday 6th November at the Shawlands Park Hotel, Larkhall.This is a new hotel and details can be had from www.shawlandshotel.co.uk. There will be a five course meal with dancing to the sensational sounds of 'Roadhouse'.Tickets priced £45 for adults and £30 for children can be booked with Christine. 3/8/2009 - More HOYS qualifiers from SHPI
Congratulations to Jordan Young and Calvadon who qualified for the Junior Foxhunter final at HOYS. Holly Rankine riding Abigails Dream and Udoka who both qualified for the Junior Newcomers HOYS final. Young Graham Babes secured his 138cm HOYS ticket with Loughcoutra Lad and Charlotte Geddes got hers with the 148cm Sheridans Archangel.Well done to all the Pony Riders. From Dumfries Show, Stacey Babes booked her Grade C HOYS ticket with her 6yo horse Waldemar. Very Well done to all Riders on an excellent weekend.
 
29/7/2009 - Trevor Nicholson and Lea Brash qualify for HOYS Amateur class
Trevor and the Peter Stirling owned Akatara were second in a very competitive Amateur HOYS qualifier at Arena UK.Lea Brash took third place in this competition. Well done Lea and Trevor.
 
29/7/2009 - Results from Royal International, Hickstead.
Sandra Lynn Cordiner and Team Murka Stallion Pall Mall H, ridden by Peter Charles scored an impressive win in the King George V Gold Cup. This is an excellent achievement for Scottish Owner Sandra who bought Pall Mall as a foal. Harry Aird a long time supporter of Scottish Show Jumping is to be congratulated on the success of Cruisings Micky Finn riden by Anthony Condon who was third in a hotly contested Queen Elizabeth 11 cup.
 
27/7/2009 - Scottish Winners at the Royal International
Congratulations to Graham Gillespie riding Cassandra Van Het Roelhof and Smirnoff des Bruyeres who were first and second in the Oakley Coachbuilders Winter JC final at the Royal International at Hickstead. Graham Babes won the 1.05m open with Loughcoutra Lad and Rory Aird was 4th in the 128cm Winter Final with Kingsland Bluebell. Very well done!.

22/7/2009 - GRATEFUL THANKS FROM THE GEDDES FAMILY
A grateful thank you from John, Emma and Charlotte Geddes to all who rescued them and their ponies when a wheel came off their lorry en route to Wales and West. The Geddes Family are now home in one piece, complete with ponies and very thankful for all the help they were given.
 
20/7/2009 - Two Bronze medals and Two HOYS tickets for our Pony Riders in Wales
The 128cm Team had a Bronze Medal in Wales being involved in a jump off for Gold.This is a great achievement considering this is a very young Team.The 138cm Team were in 4th position with a score of 4 faults in both rounds.The 148cm Team were only 4 faults away from a Gold medal to finish in Bronze position on 4 faults, both Teams having been involved in a jump off for Gold. Aileen Craig would like to very much thank all competitors for their good behaviour and great jumping, the medal results do not reflect how close the competitions were. In the HOYS qualifiers Ross Weir riding the young Sparkling Dynamite qualified for HOYS. Well done to Ross who has produced this pony himself. Katrina Frew riding Sonas Barney also qualified for the HOYS 138cm. This is a great achievement for Katrina in her last year on 'Barney'. Katie Robertson was third in the 138cm HOYS qualifier but had already qualified.Rory Aird was 2nd in the HOYS qualifier on Kingsland Bluebell but had already qualified before, winning at Arena UK and 2nd at Weston Lawns.Very well done Rory. Congratulations to all our Pony Riders on some fantastic results in very wet conditions.
 
13/7/2009 - PONY TEAMS HAVE SUCCESS AT CAVAN
The Scottish Pony Teams and our new Chef d'Equipe Aileen Craig have returned after a very successful trip to Cavan,every Team had a medal. Very well done! 10 and Under..Silver 128cm..Bronze 138cm..Gold 148cm..Silver On the final day Rory Aird won the 128cm Grand Prix and Lucy Smith won the 1.20cm Grand Prix. Congratulations to all riders on a very successful Irish HPI.

24/6/2009 - Melissa Cadden qualifies for Junior Showjumper final at Hoys
Melissa Cadden was third at Arena UK at the weekend in the Junior Showjumper qualifier. This is an excellent achievement as Melissa has only ridden the pony for 6 weeks. Well done Melissa!. Rory Aird also won the 128cm HOYS qualifier at the same show but had already qualified for HOYS previously.Very well done to both riders.
 
22/6/2009 - HOYS 1.20m AMATEUR QUALIFIERS
Congratulations to Greg Taylor riding Jim Wilmers Shakira who took 1st place in a strongly contested HOYS Amateur Qualifier.Murray McLeish riding Vesuvio owned by Shona Robertson was second and third qualifying place was taken by Hayley McCaie riding Mr Tom IV for John McCaie. Well done to all riders.
 
19/6/2009 - Scots Selected for Junior and Young Rider European Teams
Graham Gillespie, riding his mother's USA Today, has been selected for the Tretorn GB Junior team, and Jemma Kirk, riding her father's Wexford, for the Tretorn GB Young Rider team at the European Championships in Hoofddorp, Netherlands from 1st - 5th July 2009. This is a fantastic achievement and we wish them every success.
